Speaking of Social Workers, I had a real bad experience with a number
of bright, absolutely correct social workers. How dare a low life
such as me disagree with their great truths? For years I put Social
Workers in a box with Marines. Super people. Trained in Truth
Everlasting. Above reproach.
In my dotage, I have come to realize that there are real people
working as social workers, and serving as Marines. Part of the
problem turned out to be me. Gosh! Hard to believe. But for those
social workers and marines who become zealots, nothing can be so
nauseous. And trying to communicate? Might as well stick my head in
the lion's mouth.

Whether as Bob Evans or Mostafa, there is a strong parallel between his
single minded condemnation of all that is not blessed by Allah, and the
fanatic Christian Evangelists insistence that those who do not
wholeheartedly agree with them are children of Satan. Since both factions
agree that there is only one All Knowing Creator, the impassible barrier is
over whose All Mighty One is the True God.
Because the other one is obviously Satan in Drag. And as long as people
choose to believe that they are special, and that their Creator is the True
God, and anyone who differs in the slightest is doomed to eternal damnation,
there can be no room for acceptance of others.
Having, in my deep dark past, been a born again, Baptized in the Holy
Spirit, speaking in tongues, totally committed Christian for nearly ten
years of my adult life, I do have some insight into what motivates
Believers. And I understand enough of Human Nature to know that people
holding different Beliefs have similar motivations. By setting up an
absolute Dictator, and giving Him the power to crush our Souls if we disobey
Him, creates an impassible barrier. The only way out of it is for one side
to totally eliminate the other. This, of course has been going on for
centuries without success. But we seem to be doomed to give it the old
college try once again. Enter Donald Trump.
If we point the finger at the other fellows, we must also include ourselves.
Getting along does not mean, "My way or the highway".
But I see that I'm babbling, and since no one is going to read my words and
flop over, well, I might as well wander off to stoke the fire. It's a cool
32 degrees here on the Great Olympic Peninsula.
Some snow on the higher foot hills yesterday. Last week the temperatures
climbed into the low 60's, and so yesterday's high of 43 with a strong wind,
felt as if Fall has fled and Winter is coming in early.
As Cathy and her sister head off to feed and care for their horses, I smile
and thank my good senses that I do not have no stinking' horse!
