I don't agree. The analysis is much more subtle than that. It is the fault
of the Democratic leadership for abandonning the working class. The
Democratic Party has not served their interests since the 70's. Listen to
What Michael Moore says on the Morning Joe program that's in the Alternet
digest ai forwarded yesterday. Yes, some people stayed home. Some people
voted third parties. Amd also many votes of people of color were stolen.
Hillary still won the popular vote. But the electoral college did her in,
and that was in the swing states where the white working class came out to
vote because their jobs have been stolen. But if you read yesterday's New
York Times, you'll read quotes from a lot of Trump voters and you'll read
what anger and fear does to people, lots of racism and anti immigrant
feeling. If Obama had been the candidate of change he represented himself to
be, this 8 years wouldn't have been such a nightmare for people. But he just
went on with Bush's foreign policy and took on Clinton's people for domestic
policy. Moore said that the end came when Obama went to Flint, before any
water pipes had been changed, drank a bit of tainted water, and told
everyone that the water was fine to drink. That was enough for Flint
residents to stay home from the polls because that was an ultimate betrayal
by the Democratic party establishment.

I agree that it wasn't the white, uneducated males, that tipped the balance
of power. That group would have voted republican anyway, as they always do.
That is always a part of the equation. What tipped the balance of power in
favor of Trump was the white, educated, liberal left. These were the folks
who had nothing to lose because it did not matter what to them; they were
financially stable. This group put forth a very strong attack on Clinton and
the democratic party that their message reverberated with middle of the road
Americans in swing states in such manner as to cause them to either, not
vote, vote third party, or in some case directly for Trump himself. The
democratic party was always ready for the assault from the right but it
couldn't handle being squeezed from the left as well. As I predicted, the
liberal elite, starting on election eve are now relaxing in their hot tubs
with their fine champagne while their lemmings are being readied for a
political slaughter. This election's result was due to the work of the
liberal elite cult leaders, and with all cult leaders their subjects don't
even know that they are being victimized and how. Not to worry though, we
won't be hearing from these liberal cult leaders for another few years until
the next election cycle. They won't be blocking bull dozers, making public
appearances, and did you see any of our favorite liberal cult leaders at the
peace rallies the other day? Neither did I. Well, when us subjects lose our
jobs, homes, and health care maybe our illustrious cult leaders will give us
the privilege of cleaning the scum off of the bottom of the hot tub at the
palace in Lexington; and this election result will really help decorate that
palace with all of those, tax free, stock dividends from Home Depot and the
Big Pharma.

better, either. Both candidates were bankrolled by the Ruling Class. Even
though Trump made faces like he was footing his own run for the roses, it
was all talk. Trump, like Clinton, is beholden to his "Handlers", the super
rich. These are the ones who will profit from this "rebellion", this so
called rejection of the Establishment.
The big joke is on the working class. The very rejection, the hope that
this man Trump would make life more tolerable, will turn on them.
Trump will not serve two Masters. His loyalty is wrapped up in Capitalism.
Capitalism has done him right, as a realtor and entrepreneur. Trump is not
going to forsake his fellow billionaires in favor of the very working class
he has abused and used to climb his way up the Golden Ladder.
In time, the American Public that put this man in office, will come to
understand that they have been trick or treated. And the Empire will also
get the same message. The Empire created the atmosphere that gave Donald
Trump the support he needed to win, but it also has created so many lies and
untruths that this same Public will finally turn on the Empire, itself. The
day on which that begins will be written down as the Second Great American
Revolution.

So he won. The nation takes a deep breath. Raw ego and proud
illiteracy have won out, and a severely learning-disabled man with a
real character problem will be president. We are so exhausted from
thinking about this election, millions of people will take up
leaf-raking and garage cleaning with intense pleasure. We liberal
elitists are wrecks. The Trumpers had a whale of a good time, waving
their signs, jeering at the media, beating up protesters, chanting "Lock
Nobody chanted "Stronger Together." It just doesn't chant.for your kids.
The Trumpers never expected their guy to actually win the thing, and
that's their problem now. They wanted only to whoop and yell, boo at
the H-word, wear profane T-shirts, maybe grab a crotch or two, jump in
the RV with a couple of six-packs and go out and shoot some spotted
owls. It was pleasure enough for them just to know that they were
driving us wild with dismay - by "us," I mean librarians, children's
authors, yoga practitioners, Unitarians, bird-watchers, people who
make their own pasta, opera-goers, the grammar police, people who keep
books on their shelves, that bunch. The Trumpers exulted in knowing we
were tearing our hair out. They had our number, like a bratty kid who
knows exactly how to make you grit your teeth and froth at the mouth.
Alas for the Trump voters, the disasters he will bring on this country
will fall more heavily on them than anyone else. The uneducated white
