OK, but how do we get info about him? I googled, but nothing. No Wikipedia
entry either. There may be a lawyer database.

Ask and Ye shall receive!

He was real, but as far as I know, we don't have a name. I was hoping
that someone in the blind community would know who he is.Did he ever
do anything to help other blind people?

I had a computer problem last week so all my old emails were lost.
What was the judge's name and I'll see what kind of research I can do
through legal channels to find out about him as it appears he was
definitely real back then.

Abby,

According to the article, he was real. But that was in the 60's. He
may not even be alive by now.

I know the song is about a real incident, including the arrest for
littering. Maybe you folks from Massachusetts know. Is the judge who
was never going to see the 27 eight by ten glossies real or
embellished Or does he exist If he does, where is he now?

Hi Miriam,
Thanks for sending this one. I remember the first time I heard Alice's
Restaurant; I was in sixth grade and had a mad crush on a hippy-type
house mother at Perkins. She used to let me come into her bedroom and
play records by groups like the Grateful Dead and the Jefferson
Airplane. Alice's Restaurant was in her collection and I liked it from
the first day I listened to it. By the time I was in high school, many
of the FM rock stations were playing it during the week of
Thanksgiving. I still make a point of playing it once either the day
before or on Thanksgiving Day.
I've read a few pieces summarizing the actual facts of the thing, but
none with this much detail.
