I have also attempted to send out a group invitation and what seems to be
happening is that even if I correct the emails and place them in the "to"
field one by one, they change all by themselves. Spaces appear that weren't
there when I edited and copied them. I think they need to be done one at a
time and that process has thoroughly confused me. It has also confused my
computer. Magic, which isn't working well as it is, began working less well.
Jaws won't always read single letters or symbols when I need it to, only
sometimes. So I am now exhausted.
I have a copy of what is on the subscribers page in Octothorp, one in word
and one email copy which I started correcting if anyone wants to play with
it.

Okay folks, right now I am looking at the subscribers list for the new Blind
Democracy list and there are now seven of us. I have been trying to send out
invitations to everyone on the Octothorp Blind Democracy subscribers list
and have been getting mixed results. There are 41 subscribers. I have been
trying to include them all in a mass emailing.
Sometimes the message will not send. I have figured out that is because the
email addresses are not in the standard email address format. The @ sign is
spelled out as a t and there are spaces in the addresses and they tend to be
followed or preceded by stray characters. I have gone over each address and
corrected them and then the message will still not send. When I check the
addresses I find that some are still in the unacceptable format even though
I have changed them. Then when I do get them in the right format I am
getting bounces. So I really don't know who has gotten an invitation or not
except that I suppose that all of you who are reading this have gotten one.
I am wondering if some of the lurkers are even there any more. I once
checked the archives and found that some of the silent subscribers did post
to the list back when it first started and then eventually seemed to have
disappeared. I wonder if some of them are silent because they are no longer
among the living and no one ever got around to closing their email accounts.
Or perhaps there email accounts are closed and still appear on the
subscribers list. In any case, I want to be sure that everyone, lurker or
not, gets an invitation if they can get an invitation. If the rest of you
can, please try to invite these people. If you send an invitation to a
specific person and it bounces then I suppose the email address is no longer
active. Personally, because I was trying to send invitations all at once I
don't quite know which ones did the bouncing. If you copy an address into
the address field of your email you should check it character by character.
The @ sign will be spelled out and should be changed to the correct symbol.
Spaces should be removed. Also, at the beginning and end of each address
there may be bullets or other characters that need to be removed. I have two
