This sounds fascinating to me, Roger. I'll see if I can find a copy at Barnes
and Noble or Abe Books.
I don't read a lot of mysteries, which were my mom's favorite "light" reading
material, but I do love some historical mysteries. One series I enjoy greatly
is the Owen Archer series by Candace Robb. Candace lives in Seattle, but sets
most of these mysteries in York, England, which is my very favorite place to
visit when I manage to find myself in Britain. I've explored the old city
extensively, so I know precisely where various portions of the story take place,
and can see the building fronts in my mind's eye as I read them. So I can
appreciate your delight in how Giardina uses real sites in "Storming Heaven."
