[blind-democracy] Socialist Action Under Attack

This is interesting. I tried to visit the SocialistAction.org web site this morning and my browser would not let me connect with it. I got a notice that the web site returned incorrect credentials and that this usually happens when the web site is under attack by an entity pretending to be SocialistAction.org. It said that the purpose of such attacks is to steal your log in information or other personal information. At Socialist Action, however, there is no personal information even asked for unless one is signing up for their newsletter and then the only information that has to be provided is one's email address. I think there is a donate button too, so maybe the attacker could be after the information one enters there. If the attack is only to steal information one might enter, though, Socialist Action is not the best place to do that and would be unlikely to be all that lucrative. I think it is much more likely that someone just did not like the political point of view espoused there. Anyway, the notice said that these attacks typically last only a few hours and that I should try  back later. I waited an hour and just tried again, but I am still blocked. I suppose that I will try again later today.

“Progress is born of doubt and inquiry. The Church never doubts, never
inquires. To doubt is heresy, to inquire is to admit that you do not know—the
Church does neither.”
