I have no agenda concerning taking down Clinton. I post articles about her
track record, her support for Israel, her support from Republicans and Neo
Cons, and her foreign policies which tend to be to the right of Obama. I
have no wish to see Trump as President. But I feel that people who identify
with the Left should be critical of policies that favor war and economic
inequality, whether these policies are those of Democratic candidates or
Republican candidates, and I think it's wrong for Democratic party
operatives to whitewash Clinton's wrong doing because they want Trump to
lose. I tend not to post articles praising Clinton because such views are
readily available from the mass media, whether it's the NYT, NPR, or CNN.
Whatever subject I choose to post articles on, whether factdual or opinion
pieces, I'll choose points of view that people don't readily come across.
That's the point of posting on this list. We are not providing a service to
anyone if we post articles that tell you what you can readily here from your
cable channels or NPR. And people can read mainstream newspaper and magazine
articles from Newsline. When I have an opinion or have had a relevant
personal experience, I will represent what I write as my opinion or my
experience. What I don't do, nor do I think it is good practise for anyone
else to do, ist write about unsubstantiated gossip that someone repeats to
me in order to snear a candidate. And even when I post articles, if it's
obvious to me that the writer has written something that is untrue, I
usually indicate that at the start of the article. I did that the other day
in relation to an article about Israel, even though I personally agreed with
the thrust of the article, I pointed out what I thought to be a factual
error. Each of us who posts, I think, has a responsibility to be as truthful
and accurate as possible. When Carl posts about subjects, he almost always
reminds us that he is writing his opinion, that it's how he feels at the
time of writing, and that he might write something different at another
time. That's not what you did. You
Wrote a post smearing Jill Stein as a provocation to those of us who've said
we would vote for her. But you did not even use her name, nor did you
indicate that this was a story about something that she did and said that
you heard from a third party. Had you jut told us about your personal
connections to the people who were at this fund raising event and then said
that this is what one of them told you that Jill Stein said, no one could
have objected.

Miriam, OK and where is all of the videos and evidence of any candidates
closed door fund raisers? Don't be silly they are closed door fund raisers
by nature. Obviously you have every right to post articles attacking Clinton
without any shread of proof, other than the opinion of some author but at
least show the rest of us the same respect you demand by not smearing
everything anything one says that doesn't fit your agenda of taking down
Clinton at any cost.

Well, what you wrote does sound like heresay. It includes snide inuendoes
with no way to verify anything; who the candidate is, a video or or written
transcript of the speech. So we take at face value that you have a wealthy
wife and wealthy inlaws, attended a gathering of these people, and while
there, heard someone tell you about a campaign event which that person may
or may not have attended, and you are telling us this story, heard at a
social gathering, and implying that this unnamed candidate is saying very
different things to wealthy donors from what is said on the campaign trail.
Sounds like your information is about a donor event that Hillary Clinton
attended. But since there's no hard evidence, the story sounds less
plausible than the one about Hillary's government related emails spread over
several devices.

Miriam, it is not from an article. I was at a basmitah in Connecticut
yesterday with my in-laws who (well the father that is) a life member of the
Sharon Men's club. Also his son and former business partner. These are not
third hand writers these are real witnesses. If you want to know more about
the candidates connection to Lexington as a career politician (member of the
town legislature) you can google the wicopedia article on that. I rarely
believe anything I read in artciles as they are written by folks whose
profession is to make a profit off of their readers.

Have you figured out who this candidate is who courted these high dollar
donors? If not a few more clues. This candidate is a direct descendant of a
gilded age robber baron and grew up quite wealthy. This candidate lives in
one of the wealthiest neighborhoods of the wealthy town of Lexington, MA,
but in their younger days liked to covert in the hot tubs of the Hamptons.
So have you figured out who is courting these wealthy conservative donors in
the Men's Clubs, Country Clubs, and Synagogues of America's elitist areas?
