Carl,
I think you mean January, not February. Anyway, congratulations for having been
able to get the vaccination. It's not as easily available here nor am I mobile
or healthy enough to get to wherever it may be. Interestingly, the doctor who
does visit every two months or so (she visits old, homebound people), has no
access to the vaccine yet. I specifically asked. I'm glad that you've had no
side effects. Which vaccine did you get, do you know?
Miriam

Subject: [blind-democracy] Saturday's drive by shooting!
Saturday, February 23 at 1030 A.M. I participated in a drive by COVID shooting.
400 of us wove our way through the two lines, receiving our reward at the
successful finish line. A first shot of two. Half safe. But better than not
safe at all. We will continue to stay sheltered until both Cathy and her
sister Marlene have received their shots, and all three of us have had both
shots.
The actual shot was painless, and no side effects during our nearly 20 minute
wait following the shot.
It has been almost 24 hours since receiving the injection, and all seems well.
With new more virulent strains beginning to appear, it is critical that as many
of us get the vaccine as are able.
We owe it, not only to ourselves, but to all those loved ones and to any whom
we come in contact with.
Until the threat is gone, I will continue to wear a cloth mask and scrub my
hands, and disinfect where possible. We should be declaring all out war on
COVID-19.
Stamping out this vicious invader is the greatest gift we can give to future
generations.
With Love to All,
Carl Jarvis
