SWP candidate speaks to Wash. high school students

SNOHOMISH, Wash. — Mary Martin, Socialist Workers Party candidate for
governor of Washington, spoke at the Snohomish High School candidates’
breakfast Sept. 27, representing the SWP presidential ticket. “What the
working class is living through and all of you face — lack of jobs, low
wages, unending wars, police brutality, attacks on women’s right to
abortion — stem from the crisis of the capitalist system,” Martin told
the 250 students. “It won’t be solved by any of the capitalist parties
or candidates. We have to build a movement to replace capitalism and put
working people in power. Our party is your party.” After the program,
three students signed up to campaign for SWP candidates.
