Roger, check out the wicopedia link I sent. The actual original intent was to
post pictures and descriptions of college women and then rate them in a "whos
hot and whos not" competition. The alternate reality version of Facebook's
history has been popularized to make granny feel comfortable posting pics of
her umpteen grandkids.

That's a new one on me too. As I understand it, Mark Zuckerberg set up
Facebook for students on his college campus to get to know each other by
posting short autobiographies, lists of their interests and, of course,
pictures. I suppose there might have been something about rating people
too, but if there was this is the first I ever heard of it.
