I have to say that the bad news is truly overwhelming. More black people
killed by police; an Israeli attack on peaceful protestors in Gaza that
killed 20 people and injured more than 100 with complete misrepresentation
in our mainstream media, more government attacks on immigrants' rights, a
foreign policy which dooms the world to continuing war and probable nuclear
conflict, escalating degrading of our environment. And I'm reading Matt
Taibbi's, "I Can't Breathe", which describes, in detail, how the NYPD
policies came to be and actually, can be generalized to explain police
behavior toward black and brown people throughout our country. Taibbi is an
excellent reporter as he tells the story of all the individuals involved in
this case.
