Hi Miriam,
Ramzy Baroud Is right on point here with a beautifully written piece. Too
many who claim to be progressive continue to support things like drone
strikes and the Patriot Act. How the heck do we convince more Americans that
the vast majority of Muslims are peaceful people?
My only criticism of Islam is how it treats women. Yes, I know, some of the
Bible is not nice to women either, but, itt seems to me, Islam is harsher
toward women. I am willing to be convinced that I'm wrong on this point.My
belief here stems from how women are not allowed to drive in nations such as
Saudi Arabia and Iran and the fact that many who practice female genital
mutilation are Muslims.
