He sure was respected in the boxing world. He also got some respect when
SCOTUS reversed his conviction for refusing to fight in Vietnam. I watched
the Olympics when he lit the caldron. There was a tremendous outpouring of

When I went to my small Sunday meeting this morning, someone said
something very interesting. They said no one respected him until he was no
longer able to speak. Not sure that is totally true but there is some truth
to it.
