Yes, I’ve heard her do that.
I was listening to Democracy Now’s website on election night 2 years ago. Alan
Narin was there and I remember is prediction of what would happen if Trump won.
He talked about a Fascist takeover. I think he was correct. I heard him a few
days ago again, on Democracy Now. I remember how horrified I was as I listened
to Amy Goodman announcing the election returns as they came in and how I knew
by eleven o’clock, that we’d just lost our country. I went to bed. The first
thing I did when I awoke the next morning, was to turn on WNYC, our NPR
affiliate, hoping against hope that somehow I’d been wrong the previous night.
And about the first words I heard were, “President Trump”.

Subject: [blind-democracy] How Fast Can Amy Talk?
Just an amusing note.
At the end of Democracy Now today, I don’t think I’ve ever heard Amy Goodman
talk so fast. I don’t listen to every show, so I’m sure I’ve missed some other
examples. She was obviously close on time after the second part of her
interview with Noam Chomsky, but she had to get the credits in. I just had to
smile because she really can talk very fast.
