There are a lot of answers to your questions, I think. For one thing, black
people do look to their leaders and a lot of their leaders, like this Meeks
guy who is head of the CBC Pac, are political hacks. A lot of the
politicians have been compromised by lobbying money, just like white
politicians. I remember that a prominent African American minister in our
community was a slum lord. He said one thing in church, and then, on the
other hand, he benefited from the poverty of his people, and he was a bad
slum lord, never fixed anything, didn't provide enough heat in the winter.
As for African Americans and Jews, it's incredibly complicated, but there
has been a good deal of resentment of Jews within black communities. Often,
Jewish people owned the stores in black ghetto communities so they were , to
the residents, the rich white people whom they saw each day. Yes, there was
a time when liberal Jews were involved in civil rights. However, I remember
the tension between the Jewish people who kept their children in our
integrated schools and the black community. The white liberals didn't mean
to act superior or to take over leadership of positions in the PTA and other
school organizations, but they did. And they only stayed in the schools
while their children were a majority in the classes. They were unwilling to
be the white minority. They sent their kids to junior high school, but her
unwilling for their kids to date black kids. And when black people began
moving into Jewish communities, the Jews left, just like other white people
did. And behind all of that, there was something I didn't realize in the
70's. African Americans have identified with the Palestinians, and they knew
that Jewish people slaughtered Palestinians and stole their land, and that
the Palestinians who remained within the borders of what was originally,
Israel, were second class citizens. I remember sitting in the house of an
African American neighbor in some kind of small meeting and hearing the
women talking about another neighbor, one who had been actively working for
integration in the schools. They indicated that they couldn't trust her
because she was Jewish. I was shocked. But then I heard similar sentiments
expressed about Jewish people by black people in other situations. And I
suppose that Bernie Sanders being Jewish and having spent time on a kibbutz
in Israel, is not doing him any good in the black community.

I really don't understand. The Black voters support Hilary. In the
unending wars, minorities are the cannon fodder. I would think they would
want to stop constant wars. Are they merely being spoon fed what Hilary
wants to do?
They are talking about where was Bernie in the Civil Rights movement.
Don't folks realize how much support there was from the Jewish community?
This country suffers from long time and sometimes short time, memory loss.
