Watching Joe Biden's Cabinet announcements, I realized his people are gonna
be going full-bore with this weaponized immigrant business. We're never
gonna see the end of it.
First I give you Alejandro Mayorkas: Beverly Hills native, fed prosector,
immigrant, victim of Cuban communism, and, now, Joe's pick for the
fascist-lite Department of Homeland Security - the first Latino in history
to be responsible for making sure Fortress America isn't breached by the
brown barbarian hordes lying in wait just behind our holy borders.

If Alejandro Mayorkas looks a bit too pink for a Latino Cuban (see
below).well.don't worry, there's nothing wrong your eyes. He's less of a
Cuban.and more of a Juban. His mother is a Romanian Jew who married a Cuban
Jew after escaping to Cuba in the 1940s. They lived and had little Alejandro
there. But, once the Cuban Revolution finally succeeded, they took off and
moved to LA to "escape communism." And they didn't move to just any dirty
ol' part of LA, but Beverly Hills. A true Latino immigrant success story!
"We came to this country as political refugees, my father did not want to
live nor raise his family in a communist country," Alejandro explained to
ABC News back in 2015. "We came to the United States to be able to live in a
democracy and my father wanted for his children like so many parents do a
better life than he himself had enjoyed."
Not much is known about Alejandro's dad's history, other than he was a
Sephardic Jew and his family owned a "steel wool factory." Apparently lots
of Sephardic Jews came to Cuba from the Balkans at start of the 20th
century, so maybe that's where his dad's family is from. His mom ended up in
Cuba because her family couldn't get into the nativist United States, which
had closed its borders to most immigrants from eastern Europe - and
especially to Jews fleeing the coming Holocaust. And back then even Cuba
didn't let everyone in.
Whatever the circumstances, one thing is clear: to set the family up in
Beverly Hills, the Mayorkas were able to flee the evils of communism with a
big pile of cash, so the Cuban steel wool factory business must've been an
alright line of work.

I gotta give it to Alejandro. He's in a great position, able to weaponize
both sides of his immigrant identity. With Joe Biden's neoliberals going
full identity politics, he's able to deploy his Latino side to buttress the
progressive nature of our new drooling White House overlord, all while
heading a federal agency whose primary function is to terrorize immigrants
who snuck into America for work and to deport them on an industrial scale.
But Alejandro's just as comfortable weaponizing his Jewish victimhood
whenever he needs to.
Like here he is in 2016, spreading fear about the non-existent threat of
antisemitism to justify more cops and more funding for cops.
Alejandro Mayorkas, the deputy Homeland Security secretary, speaking
Wednesday to the Orthodox Union's annual leadership mission to Washington,
D.C., said rising extremism in the United States and its threat to the
Jewish community helped keep him awake nights.
The nonprofit security grants approved by Congress - $20 million this year -
"preeminently" go to the Jewish community," Mayorkas said.
"The need is most acute in the Jewish community because of the ascension of
anti-Semitism and hate crimes we see," he said.
In past years, more than 90 percent of the funds have gone to Jewish groups.
The FBI reported last year that 57 percent of reported anti-religious hate
crimes had an anti-Jewish bias.
Mayorkas challenged Jewish leaders to raise awareness about potential
threats, hire better-trained security staff, add protections at Jewish
institutions, train the community in its response to an active shooter,
establish relationships with local police and increase cybersecurity. He
said hackers could access personal information about Jewish children who are
affiliated with Jewish organizations and use it to target them.
"This is real," he said. "This is real. We must treat the imminence" - of an
act of terrorism - "as real."
He said his trepidation was in part formed by his upbringing. Mayorkas'
mother is a Romanian Jew who survived the Holocaust and moved to Cuba after
marrying a Cuban Jew. They moved to the United States following the Cuban
revolution.
Among the things that "keep me up at night," he said, was the threat to "my
community," the Jewish community, he said.
"I come from a tradition of a lack of security instilled in me as a very
young person," he said.
Ah yes, Jews are the most threatened group there is in America. I can't tell
you how scared I am walking around Los Angeles. Constantly fearing attack
for my Jewish identity, I even trimmed my beard to not look Jewish anymore.
I mean, just to think that my Jewish child could be cyberbullied.by
jihadis.which, psssst, America and its allies might or might not be backing!
That's how bad it is!

But Alejandro Mayorkas isn't the only guy touting his immigrant stories. Joe
Biden's future Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, played up his family's
harrowing immigrant-refugee tales, which of course included salvation from
communism.
Here he is accepting the nomination:
(JTA) - Tony Blinken vividly described his stepfather's Holocaust-era rescue
in accepting President-elect Joe Biden's nomination to be secretary of state
on Tuesday.
Blinken also noted other Jewish ancestors who were refugees near the outset
of his acceptance speech in Wilmington, Delaware.
The remarks served to signal the incoming administration's commitment to
reverse two signature policies of Donald Trump's presidency: drawing down
America's profile overseas and drastically cutting refugee intake.
"For my family, as for so many generations of Americans, America has
literally been the last best hope on earth," Blinken said. "My grandfather,
Maurice Blinken, fled pogroms in Russia and made a new life in America. His
son, my father Donald Blinken, served in the Air Force during World War II
and then as a U.S. ambassador. He is my role model and hero.
"His wife, Vera Blinken, fled communist Hungary as a young girl and helped
future generations of refugees come to America. My mother, Judith Pisar,
builds bridges between America and the world through the arts and culture.
She is my greatest champion."
.His mother's second husband was a Holocaust survivor, author and memoirist.
"And my late stepfather, Samuel Pisar, was one of 900 children in his school
in Bialystok, Poland, but the only one to survive the Holocaust after four
years in concentration camps," Blinken said.
"At the end of the war, he made a break from a death march into the Bavarian
woods. From his hiding place, he heard the rumbling sound of a tank. Instead
of an Iron Cross, he saw a five-pointed White Star. He ran to the tank. The
hatch opened. An African-American GI looked down at him. He fell to his
knees and said the only three words he knew in English that his mother had
taught him: God Bless America. The GI lifted him into the tank, into
America, into freedom. That's who we are."
Amen to weaponized immigrants in America. We are legion. And we have no
shame!

PS: Because of a court mishap, which our attorney found out about at the

Blinken's late stepfather was Samuel Pisar, the longtime lawyer and
confidant of Robert Maxwell - a Mossad agent and father of Ghislaine
Maxwell.
Pisar was perhaps the last person to speak to Robert Maxwell before he died
after falling off his yacht.
