We have the Pacifica network, but barely, because it depends on listener
contributions. WBAI in NYC is just about finished because it has been
headquartered in, I think, the Empire State Building and the owners want all of
the back rent which amounts to millions of dollars which the station doesn't
have. The podcasts depend on the Internet and I Tunes and listener
contributions with occasional commercials, at least the progressive ones due.
As the government gets more and more influence over the internet and the
corporations, Apple, Google, Facebook, Microsoft, etc., bow more and more to
government edicts, what we have now will disappear.

It's getting harder and harder to find "liberal" broadcasts on radio or TV. I
listen to Democracy Now on a couple of small local public stations. NPR has
been compromised to the point of bending over backward to "be fair" in
presenting issues. More and more the NPR programming is looking like ABC, NBC,
CBS and FOX. If we lose access to our internet, we will have no counterpoint
to the Official Propaganda.

Didn't care.
When the quote liberal stations don't even carry these things, we are
in a very sorry state.

A savage attack on a counter-protester during Saturday’s violent
“Unite the Right” rally in Virginia evoked memories of the ugliest
days of the civil rights movement, an original Freedom Rider said
Monday.
Among the victims of the Charlottesville violence was a local resident
who joined his friends to demonstrate against the organizers of the
white nationalist event in the city’s Emancipation Park.
Deandre Harris, 20, was attacked in a parking lot by a group of white
supremacists who kicked him, punched him and pummeled him with metal
poles.
“I was knocked unconscious repeatedly,” Harris wrote on a GoFundMe
page set up to help with his medical expenses. “Every time I went to
stand up I was knocked back down.”
KING: Charlottesville is an ugly reminder racism thrives in 2017
The fund was seeking $50,000. More than $106,000 had been raised by
Monday night.
Video posted on Twitter shows the aspiring hip-hop artist desperately
trying to escape his attackers as they repeatedly strike him with
poles and other objects. The images provide disturbing insight into
the level of hate behind the actions of some of the white
nationalists.
One photo, which Harris shared on his GoFundMe page, shows blood
dripping down his face from a gash on his head.

In addition to this account, Greg Palast reports that the "parking
lot" was under the building housing the Charlottesville Police
Department. Officers appeared not to care about what was going on.
But an unknown person filed charges against DeAndre Harris, the
victim, and if convicted, he could face a stiff jail sentence.
It makes me wonder just who raised these White Hate Mongers. If Life
were a football game, I'd say that the Good Guys Team is on their own
one yard line, with three seconds left, trailing 7 to 0 and their
great quarterback, God Almighty takes the ball and throws an
interception. And all of the members of the opposing team rip off
their white sheets and do a celebration dance with their forked tails
and forked tongues waggling, and their pointed horns bobbing up and
down.
...What's that! Oh, my alarm just went off. Thank goodness it was
only a bad dream...wasn't it???...
