You know Chuck you talk like me except at one time I was a believer having
grown up in the Catholic Chur hIt doesn't really matter though for I was
also the child of the JFK sort of revolution. That was the last year I know
of that folks as a population voted on religious grounds per se.
Separation of church and state is a good, and indeed a goodly thing imo
Now I'm older and not so much wiser I love all religions, even though I
believe in not a one of them, but in principles of love etc.
And I hate notreligionists per se but the mindset of same if you catch my
drift here.
Turn that old pinard on its head and voila now we have it.
Oh my sooner or later we'll pity the poor types for they can't help it they
were raised that way!
Sardonic smile here with tongue firmly in cheek.
Regardless how mighty white of all of them who accept us all as weare eh?

well as an atheist I only view the Bible as a subjective interpretation of history and life at that time passing along a method of control for the flockthat subject themselves to the dictates of the church. and for some reason probably due to logic I just didn't get all choked up by it.

Hi Chuck,
revisionist history? Re creationist History would be more like it.
With people eager and willing to put spin on historical events, can we
really trust such long standing books such as the Bible? Remember,
the men who put words to the long existing stories, had a position to
defend. While there is much to learn from what passes for Human
History, we will gain much more by paying attention to our future.
History can provide some guide posts, but to try passing it off as
factual is making a mockery out of all we have done that was good.
Anyway, your point is well made. That little piece of emotional
drivel, was never intended to pass real information along. It was
designed to help us send off our sons and daughters to serve as cannon
fodder in wars yet unnamed.

Colonies??? As I recall the National Anthem was written during the War of
1812 long after the "colonies failed to exist." Has this ever been
corroborated with any other historians or is this revisionist history at its
best?

No sooner did I finish ranting about McGraw-Hills tampering with
history, than the following twisted history came to me. There is so
much wrong with the so called Historical Piece that I can't begin to
rant.

u will not regret watching this – a beautiful history lesson for some
who do not know the history of our national anthem.
This should be seen by every American. This is why all our Soldiers,
Veterans and Patriots choke up every time they hear Our National Anthem.
