The child care crisis is an unacceptable reality for millions of Americans.
More than half of Americans live in child care deserts -- areas with a
severe undersupply of licensed child care. In Washington state, the
number is even higher, with 63% of families living in areas without
access to high-quality, affordable child care.
Child care deserts are a national emergency. Share this graphic on
social media to help spread the word about these alarming statistics
and the urgent need for action.

In the Senate, I'm working to address this crisis. I've introduced the
Child Care for Working Families Act, because I believe child care
should be within reach for every family.
Working families in child care deserts are out of options. We must
step up to this challenge. We can't delay taking action because too
many families are depending on us to get this right.
