It's too bad that no one really cares about what the traditional base of the
Democratic Party thinks about what the party's leadership has done. Well,
actually, that's inaccurate. They care enough to have figured out how to
manipulate and control most voters. 3 million people did vote for Hillary
Clinton. The electoral college has not been abandoned. They chose Joe Biden as
a candidate, knowing precisely who he is and that Democratic voters would be
trapped into voting for him. However, the party isn't as inhumane as the
Republican Party. Their lies are more subtle. When they commit misdeeds, they
try to cover them up. Their social values are more accepting of the differences
among people and of vulnerable populations. They value education and science.
I know that many socialists say that there's no difference between the parties,
but what they are really talking about is that both parties are functioning
within the same socio/economic system, and their leaderships are motivated by
the same things, the need for control and greed. Those are human
characteristics which can be found in religious institutions, political
parties, nation states and individual families.

I've been troubled by the many requests I've been receiving from "My Democratic
Party".
It finally reached the boiling point when a survey to "save the Quilcene Post
Office" could not be accessed by JAWS, no matter how I tried. Finally I sent a
note to the email address that had sent me the survey. No response. So, in
knee jerk reaction, I sent the following reply to the next request for
"support"(dollars)that I received.
Saving our Postal Service is critical to salvaging our democracy, but all I see
is numerous efforts to simply cash in.

I am deeply outraged by efforts by the Donald Trumpsters to sabotage our Great
Postal System. I am a long standing member of the Washington Council of the
Blind, and have been attempting to "educate"
some stubborn members who continue to believe the false stories that flow from
Trump's mouth every time he opens it.
I have received several requests to answer a survey. The heading is the name,
"Kelly", and warns me that our Quilcene Post Office will soon be closing. I
have tried answering that survey with no success.
I am totally blind, and I use a screen reader called JAWS. JAWS is not
compatible with the way the survey is set up.
For more than 55 years I have been totally blind. For my entire 85 years, I
have been a Radical...and a Progressive Democrat. Until
recently(2012 presidential election)I have stood by the Democratic Party. By
2012 I knew for certain the lesson I should have learned when Bill Clinton led
the Democratic Party into the Moderate Republican Camp, trusting more in Wall
Street than in Labor Unions and the Working Class. Too bad. We now have one
party with two heads.
And yet, like an old fire station Dog, I keep rising up when I hear the alarm,
only to be reminded that "my Party" really doesn't want anything other than my
money.
I am an activist without a Cause.
I still remain strongly supportive of our once proud Working Class, and to the
once powerful Labor Unions that the Democratic Party abandoned. Just like the
Democratic Party has failed to come to the support of the Postal Union and the
more than 600,000 Postal Workers.
Rather than reminding Americans that these Postal Workers depend upon their
jobs to support their families, and in effect to defend our American Way of
Life, you turn the spotlight on Donald Trump and his lies.
Turning the spotlight on Donald Trump is exactly how Donald Trump won the
election in 2016. What has happened to that once grand old democratic party
that worked shoulder to shoulder to organize and promote fair labor, and full
participation in this now floundering democracy?
I could go on, but I'm feeling some better now that I've sounded off.
Sorry, I am not wealthy, so can't spare $2.50 for a ten cent cup of coffee.
Since I've spent my entire working career in the rehabilitation field, working
with blind and low vision people, I am not connected to Wall Street.
