It isn't as cold here as in the Midwest but, it's really cold. Yesterday, we
had a high of 16 degrees. If I were living in my home in Westbury, or even in
the apartment there, I'd be warm enough. However, this house has a very weird
newfangled heating system which produces hot water and heat in an inconsistent
manner and the house doesn't have enough baseboards to heat part of it. So the
thermostat is at 78, and the temperature in the warmest part of the house is
69. And for me, a person who's cold when everyone else is warm, it's, shall we
say, unacceptable.
