Interesting, I have a rather different response to Sylvie's article. I think
about all of the left leaning young people in the 50's and 60's who saw
China, the People's Republic, and North Vietnam, as beacons of hope for the
future. Purely by accident, I discovered the book, The Sympathizer, on BARD,
which has won the Pulitzer Prize for 2016, along with a bunch of other
literary awards. Nominally, it's about a North Vietnamese spy. But it is
really about the folly of patriotism, war, and revolution. It is one of the
most intelligent and entertaining books I've read, but not for the faint of
heart. At any rate, there are a lot of people who believed that the USSR
or Communist China were very good alternatives to voracious capitalism. So
here is this person in China, just trying to keep people informed, not doing
anything as extreme as Edward Snowden, and he's disappeared. Watch
carefully because we're rapidly moving in that direction.

real participation in government, and lied to. During these formative
years, the American Corporate Empire(ACE) was already deep in plans to
organize a peaceful coup, taking over the military and the elected
national officials.
Today, as far as I'm concerned, is the successful result of this
careful planning.

missing since June 15, along with his girlfriend.
The citizen news outlet has been reporting and distributing news of

recorded 9,869 incidents in the first quarter of 2016.
The site collects videos and photos of grassroots demonstrations from
online
sources and redistributes the news via various social media platforms.
account @wickedonna is a major distribution spot and usually the
account, managed by Lu Yuyu (Darkmamu), has several daily updates.
Since June 14, the @wickedonna account has posted no new updates.
