Interesting as this Administration has charged me with a two year felony for attempting to demonstrate, and leaflet on the Capitol Lawn at a public event for P'WD!

They already revoke drivers' licenses for drunk or otherwise impaired drivers and the revocation can be permanent. In most states after about the third offense or if someone is injured as a result of an accident the drunk driver is charged with a felony and usually serves time in prison. In Michigan my brother's driver's license was revoked for at least 15 years. He finally got it back after many years of sobriety and having to have an ignition interlock device on his car for a year. After the Secretary of State played around he had to contact someone in Rick Snyder's office to get it back last year. The interesting thing was that he told me that the Governor's office was very responsive when he contacted them and after showing all of the proof of sobriety it was restored. Now if they could do that with the other problems plaguing Michigan!

Hi Miriam,
I favor revoking the driver's licenses of drunk drivers. IF they insist upon
driving without a license, jail might be the only choice. OR, perhaps ankle
bracelets with GPS and restriction to one's home for most of the day. IF
they violate the ankle bracelet, then I see no other choice than jail. None
of us should have to be placed at the mercy of a repeat drunk driver. What
would you suggest?
