She could do what Bernie is doing and what politicians used to do, travel
from place to place and talk to people, not just bankers at fancy luncheons
who pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to hear her.

There was an interesting comment on Thom Hartman's TV program this evening.
What would happen if Hillary Clinton did not have Bernie Sanders to debate?
Donald Trump already has multiple times more TV exposure than does Hillary,
despite the fact that just about everyone commenting on Trump claim to find
him disgusting or a liar, or a racist. Clinton needs TV time. Since she's
not making up wild lies to gain the lime lite, she must depend on arguing
with Bernie.
If, as in past elections, exposure is central to winning, Trump has the
inside track. We bitch about negative ads and double talking politicians,
but such tactics still seem to pave the way to victory.

glad that Bernie is still in the race, still saying the things he's
saying. That's all I expected from his candidacy, that he would get
some of our concerns into the mainstream public discourse. And people
are responding to that. The email that I forwarded to the list from
Jill Sstein today shows that even she is glad that he's doing what
he's doing. It's a public service. I just didn't want the Clinton
machine to run on over us without a fight and Bernie is talking about
the same themes that Occupy brought into the public consciousness in
2011.

You could be right, Miriam. My faithful old crystal ball fogged up
with smog several years ago and I can't get a good read on anything.
But the fact is that no president of recent times has done the working
class folks any good. Poor Obama, he can't even appoint a Supreme
Court Judge.
But I still have a mad on with him over his compromise with the Drug
And his push for TPP would seriously damage the working class, as didhundred years.
Clinton's NAFTA. We need to bring down the barriers between nations,
but not in favor of creating Nation Corporations. I know that we need
to continue doing what we can, to block the removal of our hard won
victories, but even as we shore up one side, another is being attacked.
As I say, we've been conditioned to be short sighted. If we can't
wrap it up in 30 minutes, including commercials, we throw in the towel.
The System is broke, and putting one person into the White House over
another, especially one who tells us not to get our hopes up, that is
not going to make any significant improvements.

Reagan cut social security benefits. We couldn't get benefits for

security as income if one's income was above a certain amount. His
breaking of that one federal union was a major blow to all unions.
He raised the country's deficit and instituted trickle down economics.
Now, I can mention what Clinton did and what Bush

did, all of which was consequential. But now we have Trump who has
made it acceptable to be openly racist on TV in campaign speeches and
whose security people have beaten up a reporter for doing his job and
thrown black observers out of the room where he was to speak. So if
he is President, how
might the angry white population behave? What effect would his

be affected? The ruling class may not care one way or the other so
long as they can make profits, but it will definitely negatively
affect the poor and the working people if Trump is elected. It's even
conceivable to me that the ruling class has encouraged him because
they really want Hillary to be President, rather than the other
Republican candidates and they were gambling that Trump would destroy
the others and be completely unacceptable to the electorate. But the
ruling class can be pretty dumb.
After all, they think that somehow they're going to win over global
warming.

For my way of thinking, this is proof that the American Empire is
determined to own the political system, lock, stock and barrel.
Just what sort of an All Powerful Empire would it be if it could not
stamp out effective opposition? By merging the two major Parties and
blocking the ability of any other Party from establishing themselves
in all 50 states, the "Two-headed Party" can go unchallenged. This
is not to deny that there are differences among those serving one
head or the other. But still, we Working Class folks ought to be
ashamed of ourselves in allowing the very Federal Government we
elected to defend our Independence, to be used against our best
interests. Ronald Reagan was the most Evil of those politicians who
"protected" us from ourselves...to the benefit of the Masters. But
before Reagan, we had the likes of Nixon, Truman and Hoover clearing
the way to the establishment of our present day Oligarchy.
Regardless of what they say, the Ruling Class is set for the next 8
years, in so far as their foreign policies are concerned. They can
"manage" Ted Cruz. Donald Trump couldn't get any of his bragging
points carried out if he tried. And Clinton has already thrown us
under the bus, declaring that we must move slowly and be content with
our present lot, or risk losing it all. For her way of thinking,
coming together and waiting for the kindness and generosity of the
Rich is the best method of improving our lives. This is similar to
Hoover's "Trickle Down" theory. Clinton knows all too well that
of the wealthy.

Dear Miriam --
Super Tuesday was a big win for oligarchy, as the Democratic Party
establishment delivered over 60% of available delegates for Hillary
Clinton and billionaire demagogue Donald Trump stomped to victory in
8
But despite the dominance of Clinton and Trump, the millions of
votes for Bernie Sanders show that Americans are hungry for sweeping
changes to a broken system that's throwing workers, students, the
middle class and the poor under the bus.
I agree with Bernie and his supporters that we must take our
democracy back from the billionaires, win economic justice for the
99%, confront the existential threat of climate meltdown, adopt an
improved Medicare For All healthcare system, provide a welcoming
path to citizenship, and end racist violence in our criminal justice
ago.
On many issues, we must go further - for example, by canceling all
student loan debt, urgently transitioning to 100% clean renewable
energy by 2030, nationalizing the Federal Reserve, and reforming the
electoral system with measures like proportional representation. And
we must roll back the military-industrial-surveillance complex that
is undermining our liberty and security while bankrupting us
financially and morally.
The success of the Sanders campaign has proven that in today's
rapidly changing America, a populist progressive agenda only has to
break into the media and the televised debates to catch on like
wildfire and inspire millions to shake the foundations of a
political establishment that seemed invulnerable just a few short months
"liberal"
I applaud the courage of the millions of people who are defying the
establishment by organizing and voting for Bernie Sanders, and
shredding the conventional wisdom that Americans are too enamored of
corporate capitalism to want an economy and a society that works for
all of us.
It's sobering to see how the Democratic Party has openly used its
institutional power to marginalize and push back against the Sanders
campaign's heartening demonstration of grassroots democracy.
From the near-unanimous endorsement of Clinton by Democratic elected
officials, to the Democratic National Committee's blatant
maneuvering to undermine Sanders, to the party's collaboration with
corporate media to marginalize Sanders' campaign, the empire isproto-fascism.
striking back with all its firepower.
Super Tuesday and superdelegates are just two of the Democratic
Party's built-in safeguards against democracy. The Democrats'
anti-Sanders campaign is just the latest episode in the party's long
history of sabotaging progressive rebels in their ranks - from Jesse
Jackson to Dennis Kucinich and more.
The Democratic Party and corporate media are even proclaiming
Clinton more "electable", despite polls showing Sanders performing
better in head-to-head matchups against leading Republicans. To
them, "electability" has nothing to do with a candidate's popularity
among the voters, and everything to do with having the
establishment's stamp of approval.
Meanwhile, the rise of extremist bully Trump, a sexist bigot and the
most disliked candidate in America, is the GOP's reward for its
decades-long descent into oligarchy, anti-intellectualism, and
coalition for justice.
Democratic Party strategists are publicly planning to sabotage
Sanders, and then use fear to keep his followers in line by arguing
that despite everything that Wall Street-backed Washington insider
Clinton has done to betray their trust, the Republican is worse.
If the Democratic Party does succeed in anointing Hillary Clinton
and slamming the door on Sanders' insurgency, our campaign ensures
that the growing political revolution will not be silenced by a
counter-revolutionary party.
This election is showing that the political establishment is obsolete.
We don't need endorsements from political insiders or big corporate
donations to ignite the revolution that will take our democracy back.
All we need is the courage of our convictions, and to recognize that
we have critical mass to move mountains when we stand together as a
broad
and ecological destruction.
Our campaign is building a truly democratic national party as a home
for those who are committed to political revolution, and understand
it needs a base to grow beyond a single election cycle. We offer a
party that refuses to take money from corporations, super PACs and
lobbyists, and that refuses to collaborate with the engines of
economic

Unlike the flailing establishment parties, the Green movement
embraces those who seek a new system that puts people, planet and
peace over profit. We will not sell out the American people or
future generations who will inherit the world we create.
We will continue building a force for change through Election Day
and beyond. Together we will build an America, and a world, that
works for all of us.
It's in our hands!
