My daughter, the lawyer, said to me, a few minutes ago that no one could have
known we'd have this pandemic and that it would not be worthwhile to just
stockpile medical equipment for an emergency that might not happen and that we
should take Trump's hotels and use them s hospitals. She is an example of
capitalist brainwashing at its best. She stated her opinion and said, before I
could decide on an answer, that she didn't want to argue about it. I did say
that government reports predicted pandemics. I didn't go into the reasons for
the pandemics which, I'm sure, she didn't want to hear, and I also said that
whether or not a country stockpiles vital medical equipment, depends on whether
or not profit or people is most important. My daughter's view of the world has
been influenced by watching tv since she was a young child. That's where she
gets her information from. She moved from being an Independent to being a
Democrat when being a Democrat had become meaningless.
You know those fancy masks that no one can get? My son-in-law can get them. His
company is a supplier of various products, not prescription drugs but other
stuff, to pharmacies. He's a partner in the company. One of the other people
got these from some black market source for the company's employees and Drew
brought them home for his family to wear when they go out shopping. There are
doctors and nurses in hospitals in the city getting sick for lack of these
masks, but Drew got them for warehouse workers and his family.

It's good to hear, even though it's but one small voice crying out in the
midnight hour.
Trouble is, Bernie is out shouted. There are two classes in the American
Corporate Empire(ACE), The Takers and The Givers.
The Takers are few in number, but control a majority of the wealth and minds of
the Givers. The Givers number in the multi millions, but lack a national
political party, a unified Cause, and the ability to smell Bullshit when their
noses are shoved in it.
