Well, I did finally get to the questions. Holy Moly! This is no
quiz, it is a full scale examination. I read questions 1 through 121
and then skimmed. Of course these questions are not anywhere close to
what we are teaching our children. In fact, wouldn't it be closer to
the truth if we called our brand of education, Conditioning?
But what would we expect from those in charge, and wanting to remain
in charge? Of course most of these questions will never see the light
of day.
But the bigger problem is that someone clumped far too many questions
in one quiz. Better to have had one short quiz with the announcement
that more quiz's would follow. I doubt the folks putting this quiz
together thought that anyone would sit down and attempt to answer so
many questions. Their point was more likely to be a demonstration of
how much critical information is being withheld from our youth. How
can our children make rational decisions when most of what they need
to know is kept locked in the cupboard?

Hi Miriam,

I tried to take the quiz, but couldn't access the questions.

Now, here's a pieve of mine that will likely get me into trouble here. Some
of these sites now have a "choose language" box that seems to wreak havoc
with screen readers. I am in favor of includsion of various languages, but
not at the expense of accessibility for blind and visually impaired
persons.

Sorry folks, I'm sick of waiting in line behind every other freakin group.
That is, we PWD are at the bbotom of the barrel, below other races and
cultures.

A Quiz to See if U.S. Schools Taught You State Propaganda

U.S. schools provide a great deal of useful information, but also leave out
a great deal. Can you answer these questions? How many can your kids
answer?
Can your kids' teachers answer them? Can your parents answer them? Can your
uncle who tells you whom to vote for and what to think answer them?

These questions are not intended to comprise an ideal comprehensive course
in U.S. or world history. They are intended as a quick sampling of the sort
of material that would be included, along with other material, in a basic
education that wasn't twisted by the interests of the U.S. government.
There
might be many questions I would have chosen to include in the place of some
of these if I knew more. I was educated in public schools in Fairfax
Country, Va., where the schools were ranked among the best in the country.
I
have a Master's in philosophy from the University of Virginia. I didn't
learn the answer to a single one of these questions in any school.

If you can give a generally accurate response to most of these questions,
you have almost certainly gone out of your way to learn things not taught
in
U.S. schools. If you find most of them difficult to answer, I would urge
you
not to quickly conclude that this is because the topics asked about are of
minor importance. Please consider with an open mind whether these questions
are not in fact central and vital to the education of a citizen of the
United States. And please consider how they relate to what you would expect
people in other countries to learn about their own histories.

Take the Quiz.
