[blind-democracy] Re: FW: A Bronx tale

The Intercept article describes how Google has a $250 million dollar contract
to provide artificial intelligence to our war machine. And by the way, for all
you Apple lovers, Apple is involved with other high tech companies, helping the
government refine its spying capabilities.

We used to worry about "Big Brother" watching us.  Now, even as I type this
not, google and the TV and my cell phone are quietly reporting my every move
to...somewhere.  What great progress!  We used to write something down and only
get in trouble if someone snooped in our private papers.  Now we've advanced so
much that even as we type on the old computer, a drone is headed our way.  And
all in the name of Progress and Freedom!

The most tired debate in Democratic politics is the one on class
versus race
-- should Democrats focus on the white working class and risk losing
black and brown base voters? Or should they write off the WWC and
focus on inspiring the base and driving them to vote in higher
numbers? We published a new book today at Strong Arm Press that is so
persuasively argued

It's a bit counter-intuitive at first but then as you move through the

The book is coming out of the gate strong, already ranked 5,000th,

motto “Don’t Be Evil” is now getting deeper and deeper into using
artificial intelligence to power drone warfare. After The Intercept

employees pushed back, and Google executives told them not to worry,
it was just a tiny contract. Lee Fang has a new story out tonight
