In an earlier post this evening, I responded to a post from Roger. In it I
wrote in part:
“[Marx] was a philosopher who studied history and arrived at some very
important ideas about the workings of the economy, some of which have been
adopted by those advanced capitalist nations, to the benefit of the workers,
and which probably forestalled those worker revolutions.
I should not have said “probably”. It may actually be true, but I do not have
the knowledge to say that with any validity. What I should have said is that:

I try to read what I wrote and make sure it’s what I really want to say, but
