Hi Alice,

Exactly right on point here. No doubt about it. Employers have way too much
power over employees. Employers should expect their employees to do their
jobs conscienciously. But employers should in no way have the ability or the
right to interfere with employees outside of the job and especially in the
realm of political beliefs so long as those beliefs do not cause employees
to do direct harm to the employer.

In the case of a football team, the team has the right to expect the players
to perform to the best of their ability on the field and to properly prepare
both physically and mentally to succeed. All too often, employers are
sticking their noses into employees personal lives. To me, that is in direct
contradiction of our Bill of Rights.
