Breaking: Jackson County pastor, who lives in Roane County, wanted by West
Virginia State Police on felony solicitation charges.
WVSP are looking for Douglas Harper, who is 39 from Gandeeville. At the time of
the allegations, Harper was serving as a pastor at Living Water Church in the
Ripley area. The investigation alleges Harper sent multiple text messages to a
15-year-old boy that were ‘’sexual in nature.’’ So far, troopers have been
unable to find or arrest him.
A Jackson County man was arrested Friday in connection to the investigation.
He’s accused of interfering and is charged with giving false information to
police, a misdemeanor, so we aren’t releasing his name.

It is just hard for me to believe he did this. I use to go to church
with him and was friends outside of church for a lot of years. I never
saw anything bad about him I have never even heard him cuss. Him and his
wife were good Christians. There has to be a mistake.
