He's attempting to work with two other liberal senators to pressure for good
legislation and he's fund raising to support the campaigns of young down
ticket Progressives. I suspect that's no more unrealistic than the folks
who think that they can build a new party from the ground up with no
financial resources.

Once Sanders cast his lot with Clinton, his value to the Left was over.
Sanders only power was his independent stand for some of the needs of
working class Americans. His decision to pretend he can work within the
walls of the Democratic Corporate Capitalistic Party has left him looking
like a sorry old limp mop.
If Sanders claims he can move Clinton and her Hawkish minions to become
advocates for the downtrodden, then he never was being honest with us.
Either that, or he is far more naive than I suspect him to be. Compromises
are made between two fairly equal sides. The American Corporate Empire does
not need to compromise with its Subjects. The Empire holds all the power.
The only way to move it is to put an end to the Corporate Capitalist form of
Rule.
We are some distance from seeing that happen.

It was refreshing to read this one. I was hoping that Sanders would
acg as he says he will here, but feared he might be less aggressive in
his attempts to make Clinton keep her promises. No doubt, he will have
an uphill climb as he moves forward.
