He does it because the Republicans want to dismantle government regulatory
agencies in order to increase corporate profits. The billionaire who funded
his campaign, whose name I can't remember, as well as the Koch brothers and
all of the other fossil fuel people have the same agenda.

I do not understand why Mr. Trump keeps nominating people with no
qualifications for the position as heads of federal agencies. Jim
Bridenstine not only is not a scientist and has no qualifications in
astronomy, physics, astrophysics, mathematics, rocketry, or any other aspect
of the science involved in our space program, but he has demonstrated that
if he is granted control of NASA he intends to use it not to further
knowledge but instead solely to support anti-science policy for the
administration. This is simply unconscionable!
