Bonnie,
Maria Cantwell and Patty Murray have my number! I receive many email
requests. In fact, I've tried signing petitions sent by Cantwell, and
been foiled. I sent an email to her office detailing the problem with
the layout and my screen reader. A fellow called my voice mail and
said he was "working on the problem". He left a number to call him
back, but I set it aside for a day or two and we never connected.
Regarding "Trump care", we Americans are already among the most costly
of health care on Earth, with one of the lowest health services
provided to our Working Class. Naturally the Trump Oligarchy can
afford the best Health care, and should be factored out of the
National statistics.
Personally, I blush each time a client of our Program gushes their
appreciation for the services we provided them. The money put into
this program is pathetic at best, and an insult at worst. But it's
hard to get people informed enough to mount a protest, when they have
received nothing, and the little bit our program provides seems to be
so wonderful. The on going propaganda that blasts through their TV's
tells them over and over how there is no money available for social
services. "Keep your head down and be happy for what you get", is the
message they are hearing.
"Make America great again"? Not even close, Mister President. As Bob
Dylan chanted, "The times they are a changing". Which means, there is
no going back. Is our Mass Media the secret weapon that has turned
our brains to mush, causing us to follow a man whose battle cry is, "A
return to our former Greatness"? Do we believe that going back is
really going forward?

Today I voiced my strong opposition to the latest version of Senate
Republicans
Trumpcare bill, the Graham-Cassidy bill...
JUST ONE MORE SNEAK ATTACK BY OUR COLLEAGUES AT KICKING PEOPLE OFF OF
MEDICAID.
There is nothing good about kicking 15 million people off of Medicaid,
sunsetting the Medicaid Expansion, and privatizing the Medicaid program.
Republicans are trying once again to repeal the Affordable Care Act without
a
successful strategy to move our nation forward.
The Graham-Cassidy Trumpcare bill has key components of the last bill.
Specifically:
Establish a per-capita cap on Medicaid.
End the Medicaid Expansion.
Remove protections for Americans with pre-existing conditions.
Allow states to impose burdensome work requirements as a condition of
Medicaid
coverage.
Tear coverage away from millions of Americans.
BUT... it goes even further. Graham-Cassidy would:
Repeal the Affordable Care Act's Medicaid Expansion, premium tax credits,
cost-sharing reduction payments, and Senator Cantwell's Basic Health
Program.
Establish a block grant for states without any consumer safeguards.
Create a funding cliff that eliminates the guarantee of coverage in 2026.
Your stories, calls, emails, advocacy & all of your hard work stopped
Trumpcare
once before, and it can again.
It's important that we get this right. The affordability of health care for
Americans is too important.
