Barack Obama disappointed me when he presented himself as a rather
weak, Establishment Man.  I often overlook some of the decent
accomplishments he did pull off.
Such as the following:
Carl Jarvis

From Senator Patty Murray,
Eleven years ago this week, President Obama signed the Lilly Ledbetter
Fair Pay Act into law to help remove barriers for women seeking equal
pay for equal
work in court.

This bill was a big step forward, but our fight for gender pay equity
is not over. I have been fighting to continue our progress with
legislation like
the Paycheck Fairness Act to close the gender pay gap and ensure women
in our workforce get the equal pay they deserve.

Add your name if you agree: every worker in America -- regardless of
their gender or profession -- should be paid fairly and equally for
doing the exact
same job as their male counterparts.
