Hi David,I do agree with you that white has to guard is pawn on b2, plus guard blacks pawns advancing on d3 and c4.
Question about your thoughts: If Black: 1. Kg6 Then what if white comes back with: 2. Rg2+ black then has three moves: Back to F6, H6, or H5. If black chooses h5: 2. Rg2+ Kh5 I would not recommend it, but after that white could even: 3. Rg5+ I am still looking for something other than the c3 move I submitted earlier.Richard said the answer is actually kind of complex, so I am now looking toward that angle.

It seeks to create a passed pawn for black. My concern is that it might be too premature. At the point of our problem, black can hold his position on the queenside with little worry. White has no good attack.
So, it's time to prepare a pile on.1. Kg6 gets the final piece (minus black's h-pawn into the game. White must move his king to 1. get of his own rook's way and 2.to equalize on the g&h files.
So, I would anticipate this: 1....Kg6 2.Kg3 (to equalize) (If 2.Kf3 then h5 and black is all but locking up white's options) 2...Kh5The point is that white must defend his b2-pawn with his rook at all costs. Black can take his time tightening the screws while driving for mate.
