Hi David,The (B) after your name tells you that you will play Black the next time you challenge someone. Color is always determined by the player issuing the challenge and switches with each of your challenges.
You may only challenge a player one or two rungs above you on the ladder, so Connie is too far up. Once the Grib-Geoghegan game is done, you can challenge either of them as they will be the two players above you.
