Hi Rod,
What if White moved Qb3? Then on the next move Nb6 with a discovered check. Then the Knight could take Black's Rook on the next move. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Roderick Macdonald" <rmacd@xxxxxxxx>

Subject: [blind-chess] Can you find the best move...?

Hi all,

In a recent game played onthe FTP-Chess server, the following moves were made:

1. e4 c5
2. Nf3 d6
3. g3 Nc6
4. Bg2 Nf6
5. d3 g6
6. O-O Bg7
7. Re1 O-O
8. Nbd2 Bd7
9. c3 e5
10. a4 Ne8
11. Nc4 f5
12. exf5 gxf5

Better was 12. ... Bxf5. White actually responded with 13. d4 and lost in 31 moves. However, after black's last mvoe white has a golden opportunity to take control of the game... Can you find the best move for white?

Rod
