You should verify that apply correction automatically, and repair end of
line hyphens are enabled in settings/general. Make sure you save these
settings in all your settings files.

Is it also necessary to enable Apply Corrections with documents we
scan in K1k, or does the program do that automatically?

Yes Elizabeth, with Kurzweil you should be able to get mostwords repaired
automatically. First you need to ensure that the automatic end of line
hyphen correction is enabled in settings/general.
Then once enabled, save in all your settings files. Now go to
tools/apply corrections and press enter. Automatic corrections will be
applied to the entire document, including end of line repair for words
split by end-of-line soft-hyphens.
After this operation you will discover that there are very few words split
at end of line. You will still need to look for hypen followed by space,
because the repair mechanism is not yet 100% perfect.

[bksvol-discuss] word hypenated between lines

I am validating a book where a lot of words are split up with hyphens from

one line to another. Is there some way to put the word together on one
line with hyphen? I want a command within k1000 so I do not have to go
through the book and do each one by hand.

E.
