Donna,

Thanks a lot.. NNow you have explained what I needed to know. Although I
released yoour C ity scan back to the download page, I kept my copy so I
could try a solution if I ever found one. Now you have given specific
instructions and I thank you.

Regards,

Sue S.

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] word and section breaks

I edit my FR scans in Word all the time. In fact, it is the only editing
program I use. I never replace the section breaks with page breaks. If I
do an insert-2 for constant reading in JAWS, it does not identify the
section breaks, but if I do a control-page-down, it stops at every section
break. It's how I do page integrity checks and strip out any headers or
junk at the top or bottom of pages that resist find and replace. If I go to
the end of the document and do insert-3, it tells me I'm on page 365 or
whatever it is, thus clearly recognizing all the section breaks as page
divisions. I don't change the margins. I don't change any verbosity
settings for JAWS. Section breaks create no problem with editing in Word
and maintaining the page formatting of the original book. Depending on
which computer I use, I have Word 97, 2000 and 2003.

Peace and Hope,

Donna
