roger and others who have been hit with the recent power outages.
I wanted to write and let you all know that I feel for your discomfort. I can
do this because where I live in Kentucky we have had major outages but they
have mostly been during the winter. I truly believe enduring this in the
summer has to be worse than in the winter. However, going for 5 days one time
and 6 days another time with no electricity was not fun. You certainly
discover old ways of entertaining yourself.
When we had this happen we had my self, my wife and 6 children to entertain.
No problems with heat because we heat our home with a wood burning stove in the
basement. No problems with lighting because of lots of handpump flashlights.
those kept the kids busy quite consistently.
I wish all of you success in enduring the outages and hope to see your posts
again very soon. I hope all of you are well and not suffering seriously from
the heat.
