Sorry Jill, in my last message I sent before I read. Same thing, just a different scannor. <lol> Bob ----- Original Message ----- From: Jill O'Connell To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, April 15, 2009 1:58 PM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: wishlist request: Little, Big by John Crowley Bob, I will rescan this book. It is in my library system. Don't hold your breath as a couple of other books precede it but it sounds like something that would interest me. And I sense that you must feel as I do when you come across a Bookshare book that is badly in need of TLC. There is a copy in the collection but is rated fair and has missing pages, scanning errors, and is pretty much illegible. Here is the book's synopsis. Little, Big tells the epic story of Smoky Barnable -- an anonymous young man who meets and falls in love with Daily Alice Drinkwater, and goes to live with her in Edgewood, a place not found on any map. In an impossible mansion full of her relatives, who all seem to have ties to another world not far away, Smoky fathers a family and tries to learn what tale he has found himself in -- and how it is to end. It's a fairy book, but not a children's book. It's a haunting book, but no ghosts appear. In other words, it's a great book and should be available for our customers to read.
