Hi, Liz.

You're given a week long edit period each time the book has been renewed.

I don't know about the book, but sometimes I know I get sidetracked working on other validation projects, but I keep renewing the book anyway because it's something I'm interested in validating.

This is just another reason why submitters and validators should be able to communicate with each other.

Maybe validators who are willing could have their E-mail addresses listed with the other information related to a book in process.

Submitters checking out the books in process page would be able to see who's validating their book and contact the validator if necessary.

Lisa

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] validation times

I'm asking here to save time of going back through the volunteer manual
which is outdated anyway, unless revised in the past month. Grin.
What's the scoop on someone keeping a book out for validation, the time
line? I had a book immediately grabbed for validation, a gorgeously clean
copy, and it's been out for almost 2 months. Not someone on here, and Claire
has checked, but so long for a clean copy? Any input?

Liz in Portland, scanning and editing the next gorgeously clean copy, grin
