On the HOme Page, which I rarely check, was posted the
fact that Bookshare.org now has over 30,850
Books!--(The VOlunteer page still says 29000 plus.)
I went to the home page because I was looking for the
job listings, but I couldn't find them. Does anyone
knwow--have they been filled? A young friend of mine
(mid-thirties) has recently been "restructured" out of
her job with a Foundation and has had years of
experience with another nonprofit. She's also
infinitely patient. I can't remember what
non-engineering jobs with bookshare were available
and, of course, I don't know if the salary would be
sufficient for her, but I thought I'd let her know if
there's a job available that she'd be good for.
Does anyone know who will do the interviewing and make
the hiring decisions now that Janice is gone? That was
a short tenure, wasn't it? Does anyone know where she
sent, i.e., to what company, or did she leave because
she moved?
