Ah, but Cindy the page break rule has been in place since last year in
September, it has been over a year.

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] txt files on page one

Re a recent letter I can no longer find---

True, as of Sept. 29 txt files are no longer being
accepted, and true, some of the txt books now on page
one were submitted by someone who does nothing to
them and shows no care (though she may have changed,
because one book I saw by her looked, at quick glance,
to be in good shape except for page breaks)--but the
ones that are there now deserve to be accepted, imo,
if they are in good shape except for page breaks.

The book I'm validating now is n excellent scan except
for no page breaks and for the presence of line-ending
marks. It's no problem for me, if I can get the book,
to go through and out in the breaks and fix the
sentences as I read.

So I would like to suggest that if you download a txt
book and it seems to be a good scan except for the
page breaks, that rather than reject it, release it
and let me know. I'll take it. If it seems, on closer
examination, to require a lot of work or to hve a lot
of missing pages, I'll reject it. Otherwise I'll put
in the breaks and fonts like ital and bold and upload
it as an rtf file. I promise I won't waste time
"saving" a book that hasn't shown care by the
submitter. smile

Cindy
