Yes, there are issues with IE 7 and Vista. Many of our remote connections at
the university have issues with IE 7. If someone is running IE 7 they can
back rev to 6 in the control panels, ad/remove programs. The back rev is
fairly seamless.

Hi Peninnah,
I just talked to John Glass, and he said that people who use Internet
Explorer 7 are having trouble downloading certain books, that IE 6 has no
problem with. It appears (and this is just a guess) that books with special
characters are the problem. (The Children of Hurin title has 3 special
characters in it, a caret and two accents.) John is going to tell Bookshare
Engineering immediately, so they can determine if this is actually the
problem or not. If it is indeed the problem, I'm not sure when it will be
fixed, seeing how Engineering will have to come up with a workaround. They
can tell Microsoft that there's a problem with IE 7 but who knows how long
it'll take them to fix it.
Anyway, just thought you'd want to know that Bookshare is working on the
problem.
