If I am the submitter, then I put [SCANNER'S NOTE: ...]. If I am the proofreader, then I put [PROOFREADER'S NOTE: ...].

I need to add a note to the reader. I know brackets are used around captions of things like [This page contains and image.] but is there something special to add something like a transcriber's note?
