Did it crash before the currrent JFW?
What do you have running at startup? Do you mind if I forward this message to
a few other people for suggestions?

What am I doing? Nothing. The last time it crashed, I was online looking at
anti-virus software. I alt f-4 out of IE with no problems, and shut the comp
down. Tried to re-boot it and windows refused to boot, in both safe and
regular modes.

Get nod32 or pc Cillin. Btw, do you regularely update your virus
definitions and do you also use anti-spyware on your system?

          Hi all:
I am desperate for help here, and really could use some computer
advice. I
bought a Dell laptopabout 11 months ago. It was running great for
the first
eight months or so. The first time it crashed in October, it was a
virus.
I used Maccaphe at the time. The next time it crashed, it was over
Christmas break, and I suspect it was a maccaphe issue as well. I
got it
fixed but as soon as I started putting programs, etc, on it again, it
crashed a third time. This time I was looking at different
anti-virus
programs. I don't want to use Maccaphe again, as I am not happy with
the
service. I sent the computer back to Dell but got it back again
today
saying there are no hardware issues, and that it's all my software.
I'm
running Windows XP homewith service pack 2, with Jaws 7.0. Any
advice on
strong anti-virus software that's accessible with Jaws?
          Amber, extremely frustrated
