Ok, here goes, here is the word I did not know:
 
superannuated

Now this book is mostly about taking a root word and adding a prefix or a 
suffix, or both, to make new words. But I still didn't know what it was and 
only figured it out by process of elimination because I knew the other words in 
the list.
