Hi all,

Hmmm, as one who spent my teen age years in a small, independent school, I am well aware of how cliques work. I can say that there are pairs of submitters, some husband and wife teams and others, who have found that they mesh together well. This doesn't mean that they are excluding you, Tracy. My current series on which I have been working for over a year, started because I took the first book from the checkout queue and liked it so well, I wrote to the submitter and said that I'd take any more books by that particular author if she was going to scan them. Since then, I've done at least five more books in the series, I forget. It's just worked out.

My advice is to find something you like, and if you like either the series or the way the submitter does the scanning, write to him/her and see if you can proof additional books from that same submitter. Sometimes you gotta be a leetle assertive if you want something to happen. It's like anything else in this world, you offer to help, and if you do your job well, you'll be asked to do more. <smiling with twinkle> You better be careful when you complain about not having books to proof or not being able to find a submitter to work with you. You just might volunteer yourself into a mamoth job! Hey have a blessed Christmas and a happy New Year.
