Now this is a great idea!

It would be wonderful to create a listing of books currently in the
collection, but questionable in its quality and overall readability.

In this way, the volunteers that are interested in quality control would
have the opportunity to directly improve the overall level of quality in the
Bookshare collection.

However, this does not remove the responsibility from all submitters to
provide the best possible scans to Bookshare members.

There have been a few books that I fully intended to download and read on my
book courier. Unfortunately, after downloading the book and giving it a
quick review, I found the choppiness of the text to be so distracting that
my frustration caused me to give up and ordered the book from NLS instead,
provided it was possible to do so. Now keep in mind that I did do some
basic clean up and that was still insufficient. I am talking about books
that are currently in the collection and available to all members.
Hopefully, these are not the first few books that new members download from
the collection. Otherwise, it might leave a very bad taste in their mouths,
I know it would have, and did, with me.
